As Tamara approaches her one-year anniversary with Amari Metals, she has become a familiar face to our clients. With her entrepreneurial mindset and passion for customer satisfaction, she is a valuable asset to our team. She provides support to her colleagues in the Sales team, focusing on aluminium products.
Like many of her colleagues, Tamara hails from Woudrichem. “I’m 32 years old and I live with my partner,” Tamara shares with a smile. “I used to work at Avans University of Applied Sciences, but I felt the need for a new challenge. With my passion for interior design, I pursued a study and started my own business in interior styling.”
“It was a quite natural transition,” recalls Tamara as she reflects on her recruitment process. “As an independent entrepreneur, I missed having colleagues and a structured routine in my life. Therefore, I felt it was time for a change. When a vacancy arose at Amari Metals, I decided to come in for a preliminary conversation. It felt like a good fit right away, and because I already knew Mark and Wilty, they were already aware of my skills.”
In her role at Amari Metals, Tamara will primarily focus on sales and customer support in the aluminium sector. “My main focus is ensuring that customers are always informed about material arrivals and inventory,” she explains. “Additionally, I accompany Wilty, Peter, Henk, and Corné to clients. I see myself as a facilitator ensuring smooth operations for our clients.”
“Amari Metals provides me with a supportive environment where I can apply and enhance my skills,” Tamara says. “My tasks are similar to what I did at Avans, but here it’s in the realm of sales. I’m learning a lot from this experience. I truly feel empowered here, and I’m very grateful for the people around me.”
